Meeting Topic: Talk by Steve Frankel on “Water: It’s a Deep Subject”

Outline:

  1. Amphoteric Nature  – Water’s dual purpose as an acid or a base.
  2. Cohesion & Adhesion  – Water is a sticky substance.
  3. Density Anomaly  – Solid water (ice) is less dense than liquid water.
  4. High Heat of Vaporization  – It takes an incredible amount of energy to turn liquid water into gas.
  5. High Specific Heat  – Water absorbs a lot of heat before its temperature rises, helping regulate the Earth’s climate.
  6. Polarity & Hydrogen Bonding  – The uneven sharing of electrons makes water polar (slightly negative O, slightly positive H).
  7. Universal Solvent  – Its polarity allows water to dissolve many substances.

I may include some other information about this fascinating substance not included in the list above.

Meeting Topic: Talk by Ray Mondragon on “The Purpose of Mankind from Creation Science”

Abstract: ”In view of the current confusion over the nature of mankind, specifically the transgender issue, we need clarity on the nature and purpose of mankind. The talk will examine the transgender issue. The talk will address the issue mainly from Genesis 1 & 2. It will cover the creation of Man as male and female in the image of God, the creation mandate (dominion mandate), the purpose of mankind, and the responsibility of mankind.  A scientific and biblical definition of man and woman will be provided.”
